SMOKING LIKE A BABY’S PACIFIER

Smoking is certainly a prop, like a baby’s pacifier. The pack, the lighter, the fondling of the cigarette, holding it in the mouth, the need to do something with the hands, are all part of the ritual that seems to be needed by the smoker. But it solves nothing. It does not remove the cause of any stress, and can only make things worse in the long run because of its bad effect on health.
